Welcome to the blog, a journal about fertility care, healthy relationships, and my Catholic life. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Melissa.

We were not made to go through life alone. We were created for relationship and community.

Community can be built on a number of factors, such as shared faith & values, friendship or shared goals. It provides support, encouragement, accountability, education, and a sense of belonging. It is where we are reminded that we are not alone in our struggles, our growth, or our desire for holiness.

As Catholics, it is especially important to seek out community that reflects our faith and values. As young adults, it is also helpful to walk alongside others in similar stages of life. Whether you are single, dating, engaged, or married, having friends and mentors who understand your season is a tremendous gift.

Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals and couples strengthens every area of your life: your faith, relationships, work, and family. If you are living in Miami, I want to make this very easy for you. Below are some wonderful Catholic communities to explore.

If You Haven’t Found Your Community Yet

This is by no means an exhaustive list. There are incredible Catholic communities throughout Miami, South Florida, and beyond. If you feel like you are lacking community, I encourage you to keep searching. Check parish bulletins, diocesan websites, social media, and ask people after Mass. You may be surprised by what already exists near you.

And if you truly cannot find what you are looking for, consider this your invitation to start something new. Someone has to begin it. Maybe it is you. Community often starts with one simple invitation. Invite a friend. Pray together. Read Scripture. Watch a talk. Ask questions. Share meals. Grow in faith together. Over time, others will join.

We are made for community. Community strengthens us. It helps us persevere. It supports our marriages, families, friendships, and vocations. It reminds us who we are and Whose we are. I hope this post helps you take a step toward finding your people.

If you know of other Catholic communities in South Florida or elsewhere, feel free to share them in the comments so others can benefit as well.

Do not stop searching. Your people are out there. And they are waiting for you.
